

SMS Terms & Conditions

1. Overview
Bittsi Inc. ("Bittsi," "we," "us," or "our") provides SMS text messaging services on behalf of participating veterinary clinics ("Clinics") through the Bittsi practice management platform. These SMS Terms & Conditions ("SMS Terms") govern your receipt of and interaction with text messages sent through the Bittsi platform.
By opting in to receive SMS messages from your veterinary clinic through Bittsi, you agree to these SMS Terms. These SMS Terms supplement our Privacy Policy (bittsi.com/pages/privacy-policy) and Terms of Service (bittsi.com/pages/terms-and-conditions).
2. Consent & Opt-In
You may opt in to receive SMS messages from your veterinary clinic through Bittsi in one of the following ways:
By providing your phone number and agreeing to receive SMS communications during client registration in the Bittsi platform (web or mobile app)
By providing your phone number during appointment booking or client intake at your veterinary clinic
By providing verbal or written consent to your veterinary clinic staff, who may enter your phone number into the Bittsi system on your behalf
By texting your clinic's dedicated Bittsi phone number to initiate a conversation
Consent to receive SMS messages is not required as a condition of purchasing any goods or services from your veterinary clinic.
3. How to Opt In
Users opt in during client registration in the Bittsi platform by actively checking an unchecked SMS consent checkbox. The checkbox text is:
“I agree to receive SMS text messages from Bittsi Clinic about appointment reminders, schedule updates, and pet care notifications. Message frequency may vary. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Message & data rates may apply.”

4. Types of Messages
When you opt in, you may receive the following types of text messages from your veterinary clinic via Bittsi:
Appointment reminders and confirmations
Appointment rescheduling and cancellation notices
Treatment updates and post-visit follow-ups
Prescription and medication reminders
Vaccination and wellness reminders
Lab result notifications
Account notifications and verification codes
Two-way conversational messages with clinic staff
Pet care notifications relevant to your pet's health
5. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your pet's care needs, appointment schedule, and your interactions with your veterinary clinic. You may receive multiple messages per week during active treatment periods. Automated reminders are typically sent in advance of scheduled appointments.
6. Costs
Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Bittsi does not charge for receiving SMS messages, but standard messaging rates from your wireless provider may apply. Contact your mobile carrier for details about your messaging plan.
7. Opt-Out
You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message received from your clinic's Bittsi phone number. You will receive a one-time confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out request. After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS messages from that clinic through Bittsi.
Additional opt-out keywords: STOP, STOPALL, CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, OPTOUT, REVOKE
To resume receiving messages after opting out, reply START to your clinic's Bittsi phone number.
Please note that opting out of SMS does not affect other forms of communication from your veterinary clinic (phone calls, email, in-app messages).
8. Help
For help with SMS messaging, reply HELP to any message from your clinic's Bittsi phone number. You will receive a message with support instructions.

9. Supported Carriers
Bittsi SMS messaging is supported on all major U.S. and Canadian wireless carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint. Carrier coverage and delivery may vary.
10. Privacy
SMS messages may contain information related to your pet's veterinary care. We handle your phone number and message data in accordance with our Privacy Policy (bittsi.com/pages/privacy-policy). We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or opt-in information with third parties for marketing purposes.
11. Disclaimer
SMS messaging is not a substitute for emergency veterinary care. If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, please contact your veterinary clinic directly by phone or visit the nearest emergency animal hospital. Bittsi and your veterinary clinic are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages due to carrier issues, device settings, or network conditions.
